Deni Artemisa Espinoza (b. 2000) is a multidisciplinary artist residing in Queens, New York. Being a first-generation Chilean American raised in New York City, Artemisa often utilizes their voice and experiences in the city as a mode in their studio and research practice. Artemisa taught themselves needlework to reconnect with ancestral craft practices. They often incorporate political analysis into their work as it relates to historical research and their ancestral history.
They received their Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Hunter College in 2025. Artemisa was a recipient of the Edna Wells Luetz-Frederick P. Riedel Scholarship. They are now in the process of of preparing for MFA candidacy.
